Understand the task
Review materials, duration, work practices, and existing controls.
Evaluate workplace noise and identify the hearing-conservation and control measures relevant to your operation.
We confirm the scope, location, and appropriate specialist support before scheduling.

Review materials, duration, work practices, and existing controls.
Develop a sampling strategy and collect the evidence needed for the exposure question.
Interpret results, limitations, and practical control or follow-up needs.
A clear record your facilities, operations, or EHS team can use.
Our report example shows how field observations become findings, recommendations, and a way to verify completion.
The problem
Area sound levels alone may not represent a mobile employee's full-shift dose. Where exposure varies, personal noise dosimetry helps characterize what the employee actually experiences across the workday.
Regulatory trigger
Under 29 CFR 1910.95, employers must administer a continuing, effective hearing conservation program when employee exposure equals or exceeds an 8-hour time-weighted average of 85 dBA. Monitoring is required when information indicates employees may be exposed at or above that level.
